Why come here first
The big names are great. But they're not your only option.
The established sauna brands — the ones spending heavily on Google Ads — build well. But they also carry the overhead of showrooms, marketing teams, and national coverage. You pay for that. And most of them are only interested if your project fits neatly into one of their standard configurations.
Scattered across the UK are smaller sauna workshops — many established for 10, 15, even 20 years — building saunas to the same or better standard, for clients they find through word of mouth alone. They'll modify a design, adapt timber choices, rethink a bench layout, or work around an awkward loft conversion. They just don't advertise. We know who they are.
Genuinely bespoke, not "bespoke-ish"
Our makers will build to your exact dimensions, specify your preferred timber, adapt the bench layout, and accommodate tricky access. No standard configurations forced on non-standard spaces.
UK-made, not imported and rebranded
Every manufacturer we work with builds in the UK. That means shorter lead times, easier site visits, and someone to call if anything needs attention after installation.
Competitive pricing without the marketing premium
Small workshops have lower overheads than nationally-advertised brands. The saving doesn't go to a showroom in Chelsea Design Quarter — it stays in your pocket where it belongs.
Only one enquiry, for the right match
We ask the right questions upfront so that we can match you to the manufacturer best suited to your project type, location, and budget — not just whoever is cheapest.
A note on flat-pack and readymade saunas
If you are looking for a readymade flat-pack sauna from an online retailer, this is not the right place to enquire. Those suppliers can only offer what they have in stock — standard sizes, standard spec, ship within the week. That is a perfectly valid choice for some projects. But if your space needs anything beyond what comes off a shelf — different dimensions, specific timber, modified bench heights, awkward access — you need a maker, not a retailer. That is what we specialise in.
What we can source
Fully built, fully modified, fully yours.
Our manufacturers cover every type of bespoke built sauna. These are not kit prices — these are installed, finished, ready-to-use prices from UK craftsmen.

Infrared saunas use infrared light to directly heat the body, unlike traditional saunas that warm the surrounding air. These work by emitting radiant heat via special heaters, typically operating at milder temperatures of 40–60°C (104–140°F). This penetrates up to 1.5 inches into the skin, promoting sweat without extreme air heat. They heat up quickly (5–10 minutes) and plug into standard outlets, making them energy-efficient for home use.

These are what the sauna purists will call a proper Finnish sauna. With all necessary amenities like standard electric heaters and lighting with standard 700mm wide sauna door, these are professionally made to standard sizes on site. The sauna cladding tends to be spruce / aspen / alder that is hardwearing and the heater is suitable to throw water on it.

A hybrid sauna is a sauna cabin that incorporates both a traditional Finnish heater and a set of infrared emitter panels within the same structure. In infrared mode, the heater remains off and the infrared panels heat the body directly using far-infrared wavelengths, producing a deep radiant heat at a lower ambient cabin temperature of between 45°C and 65°C.

Wood-burning saunas offer the most traditional and authentic Finnish experience, known for a soft, radiant heat and the relaxing sound of crackling logs. They are ideal for off-grid locations since they require no electricity and can typically reach higher temperatures than residential electric models.

A Himalayan salt sauna combines traditional sauna heat with ionized, salt-infused air, usually created by lining walls with backlit Himalayan salt bricks. These saunas operate at lower temperatures (around 48-70°C) to provide respiratory relief, skin detoxification, and deep relaxation through halotherapy.

For a 100% authentic Finnish sauna experience, nothing beats a professionally installed outdoor sauna complex. Add to it a wood fired heater and you will love it forever, we can bet. You can have it as a standalone sauna, with a change room, add a cold shower or an ice bath and even a patio. Very popular garden building schemes are pool houses with an integrated sauna.
